See a short video of a May 2009 mountain lion sighting on Gringo Gulch here. There were two lions, but the first had already moved out of sight. We have learned that while it is rare, it is not unheard of for a mother lion and her
daughter to travel together for two, three or even four years. The pair has also been seen near Sandia Man Cave and heard at night in the canyon. We have also learned that the best thing to do if you see these
majestic animals (or a bear) is to keep it to yourself to avoid them being deemed a threat to someone and removed (or shot). Based on that, we will soon take this video down. (Video taken by Cynthia Longley.)
