The bell from the old Placitas School was moved to the new elementary school.


	Village Academy is a small, free, public charter school authorized by the Bernalillo Public Schools. Village Academy offers a rigorous, challenging curriculum emphasizing leadership and character development. Applications are currently being accepted for the 2009-2010 school year for grades six, seven and eight.
